Villa Margherita fills a hole that exists among the different styles of accommodation to be found in Swakopmund: a 'boutique' guest-house full of charm, occupying one of the beautiful German colonial houses in a very peaceful street in the centre of town. The great achievement of the Bortolus family is to have renovated the house in such sophisticated fashion without compromising one jot on its traditional character.....

.... From the outside of this smart, yellow-painted, 1900 town-house, nothing hints at the extremely modern comforts to be found within, such as the flat-screen TVs. They even have Wifi connections in the bedrooms! These are all very different. They has had fun with colour on the walls: pink, claret, green, ochre, plum, grey or white are all offset with abstract pictures. The designer or traditional furniture is very attractive and the lighting particularly well thought through, with enchanting ceiling lights. In the evenings, guests can take a glass before the period fireplace. Staff have tested every possible activity in Swakopmund and will be able to give you sound advice.
