Kobo Kobo was born of the fertile imagination of Kirsten’s father, Gert Behrens, who was a photographer. It is a secret and magical place, making an ideal retreat for a group of friends.....
.... The cottages, with their stone walls and thick thatched roofs, are built on a sharp, rocky outcrop, an islet dominating the rugged landscape of granite boulders. The rocks are incorporated into the interior design and determine the shape and form of the cottages, each of which is different. The whitewashed interiors are rustic and cosy and remain cool even at the height of summer. The views are all superb and, with the beds often set right at the level of the window overlooking the precipice, you can admire them while lying down in comfort. The rallying point is the lapa, where there is a swimming pool embedded in the rocks, a bar and an observation point sheltered by a thatched roof. From there, you have a view below of the dry riverbed and a waterhole, overlooked by a tree filled with green parrots, where the animals come to drink. Aided by her mother, Kirsten is the enchanting fairy of the realm. She will look after your well-being with the greatest attention, concoct wonderful breakfasts and barbeques full of flavour, and she can take you on a sundowner game drive to the summit of a hill. Minimum group size 4 guests for 1 night or 2 guests for 2 nights.
